Positive Parenting Handouts

This workshop can be used for a Christian audience or any audience of interested Parents. Many parents today are trying to avoid shaming and corporal punishment but still want tools and approaches for kind but firm discipline strategies. Today’s information from brain science and social science show the need for more current and educated parenting in order to raise children who will internalize self respect and respect for others along with emotional, non-violent, and independent reasoning powers. This workshop is one attempt to teach that.

A Postiive Parenting Workshop : Christian parents are often torn by what their innate intuition tells them about their children and what earlier teaching about the "rod" and not sparing it, has taught. This workshop will help parents develop the understanding, attitudes, and skills to develop, as best they can, mature, independent adults who are able to know God's love.

Our Mission

The MISSION of the Action Team to End Hitting Children is to gather many people to do small jobs for the purpose of diminishing and finally ending the hitting of children. By "htiting" we mean to include beating, spanking, slapping, shaking, popping, and any other form of physical or emotional punishment that demeans the child and creates emotional, mental, and physical harm. Our strategy is to use many people to do small amounts of work that create momentum to make a difference.
